About Us

Yabhakriti is The Robotics Club of National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya. It is a cooperative effort of dedicated students and faculty members to promote, inculcate and encourage the field of robotics, mechatronics and IoT within the institute.

The word Yabhakriti is a combination of three sanskrit words, Yantrik meaning mechanical, Aabhasi meaning Virtual and Krati meaning creativity and it perfectly encompasses what the field robotics is all about.

Yabhakriti aims at creating a suitable working environment for students interested in robotics and other allied fields and opportunities to widen their horizons. It also aims to develop leadership qualities and management skills to produce all round leaders of industry.

Yabhakriti places a strong emphasis on innovation, teamwork, co-operation and character. The club's philosophy is defined as follows:

  • The name of the club shall be Yabhakriti .
  • No member shall take the club's name in vain.
  • No branch is greater or lesser than the other within the club.
  • A clubmate must have a deep passion for robotics.
  • The club encourages the sharing of knowledge with everyone.
  • The club is a platform for the betterment of mankind.
  • Robots should not be built with evil intentions.
  • Originality is essential, plagiarism will not be tolerated.
  • The club's equipment must be handled with respect and care.
  • The club encourages team-work, cooperation and harmony at all times.
